Our distribution warehouse located in Durant, Oklahoma is a state-of-the-art, modern facility with over 108,000 square feet on the main floor with 30,000 square feet of mezzanine (upper level) storage and workspace. Our warehouse freezer is 15,000 square feet in size. Our entire warehouse is air-conditioned year round. Our shipping and receiving department utilizes 23 shipping doors and 4 receiving doors for the volume of merchandise coming and going through our facility each day. We load and unload over 75 trucks per day on average. Our order picking system uses an elaborate network of conventional and powered roller conveyors moving customers orders from one point to another during processing for shipment. Most items are picked from select-a-flow automatic rotation racks with row upon row of pallet storage racks full of back stock. Our average overall inventory turnover is 32 turns per year, which is among the highest in the industry and guarantees fresh stock. Since we are the largest cigarette distributor in Oklahoma and most of Texas, we have an extremely efficient cigarette stamping system in which all cartons are stamped with state tax stamps. Our Norman, Oklahoma cross-dock warehouse is designed for fast loading and unloading of cargo. Sixteen local delivery trucks are stationed at Norman for our Oklahoma City metro area customers. Our Oklahoma City warehouse is strategically located for quick response for same-day order processing and delivery for our OKC area customers. Our McAlester, Oklahoma cross-dock warehouse is also designed for fast loading and unloading of cargo for our northern Oklahoma customers. We study "industry best practices" reports to harvest the latest advances in distribution technology, data processing, warehousing, transportation, picker productivity, etc. With the advent of the information highway, many of our customers are getting on-line with electronic commerce (EC). A major component of EC is Electronic Data Interchange or EDI. EDI is the electronic exchange of documents such as purchase orders, invoices, confirmations, ship notices, price changes, etc. In the near future, we shall be able to accept customer orders via EDI and send invoices back to your store electronically. In addition, price change notifications can be made via EDI as well. We are also currently working on our Internet web page customer order entry system for those that want to dial-up to place orders day or night.
